ReceiptCam is designed to work without a ReceiptCam account or a receipt-storage backend.

Receipt images, recognised text, merchant, total, dates, company profiles, accountant settings, selected destinations and optional warranty details are processed to provide the features you choose.
Where the data lives
The ReceiptCam library and settings are stored locally on your device. iOS uses Apple frameworks for scanning and recognition; Android uses Google ML Kit and Google Play services, with a camera-app fallback. Receipt images and recognised text are processed on the device. ReceiptCam does not operate its own receipt-storage server. Android receipts and settings are excluded from automatic cloud backup and device transfer: export important PDFs before uninstalling or changing phones.
Exporting receipt content
Receipt content is sent to another service when you choose an export or enable a destination: saving to Photos or Files, sharing, preparing email, or an iOS OneDrive upload. Destination services process exported content under their own privacy policies. Android uses the file picker and installed sharing apps, not a direct OneDrive connection.
Android technical diagnostics
Google ML Kit collects device and app information, installation identifiers, performance metrics, API configuration, input/output sizes and feature events or error codes for diagnostics and usage analytics. Unbundled components may also collect device identifiers. Google transmits this technical data over HTTPS; it is separate from the receipt image and recognised text. OneDrive on iOS
If you connect OneDrive in the iOS app, Microsoft sign-in is used and ReceiptCam requests Files.ReadWrite permission so it can create folders and upload the files you approve. You can disconnect the account in ReceiptCam settings. Authentication is handled by Microsoft’s MSAL library.
Analytics and advertising
ReceiptCam contains no third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDK. Apple may provide store or crash diagnostics according to your device and App Store settings.
This website
This site does not use advertising analytics or cookies. It only stores your Finnish/English language choice in your browser so the next page opens in the same language.
Your choices
You can edit or delete receipts inside the app, remove the app and its local data, disconnect OneDrive, and stop using any export destination. Files already sent to another service must be managed in that service.
