Privacy policy
ReceiptCam is designed to work without a ReceiptCam account or a receipt-storage backend.

Arkeasi is a brand operated by Tmi Mikko Sällinen, Business ID 3157190-6, Finland. We are responsible for the personal data we receive through support and our own service operations. Contact: [email protected]. We do not receive your local receipt library merely because you use the app.
What ReceiptCam processes
Receipt images, recognised text, merchant, total, dates, company profiles, accountant settings, selected destinations and optional warranty details are processed to provide the features you choose.
Where the data lives
The ReceiptCam library and settings are stored locally on your device. iOS uses Apple frameworks for scanning and recognition; Android uses Google ML Kit and Google Play services, with a camera-app fallback. Receipt images and recognised text are processed on the device. ReceiptCam does not operate its own receipt-storage server. Android receipts and settings are excluded from automatic cloud backup and device transfer: export important PDFs before uninstalling or changing phones.
Exporting receipt content
Receipt content is sent to another service when you choose an export or enable a destination: saving to Photos or Files, sharing, preparing email, or uploading to OneDrive. Android 1.4 also supports preset compatible folders and optional direct OneDrive export. Selected destinations receive the approved PDF and its filename; exports do not pass through an Arkeasi receipt server. Destination services process exported content under their own privacy policies. A successful write does not guarantee that a separate provider has completed cloud synchronisation.
Android technical diagnostics
Google ML Kit collects device and app information, installation identifiers, performance metrics, API configuration, input/output sizes and feature events or error codes for diagnostics and usage analytics. Unbundled components may also collect device identifiers. Google transmits this technical data over HTTPS; it is separate from the receipt image and recognised text. Optional OneDrive connection
In supported iOS versions and Android 1.4, connecting OneDrive opens Microsoft sign-in using the MSAL library. ReceiptCam requests delegated Files.ReadWrite permission to browse folders and upload approved receipt PDFs; this permission is broader than the selected folder. Account identifiers, the signed-in email and selected folder identifiers support the connection and are held locally; authentication tokens are managed by MSAL. Microsoft processes sign-in, security and service diagnostics and the content you export under its own terms and privacy statement: https://privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement. ReceiptCam does not receive your Microsoft password or send tokens to an Arkeasi backend. Disconnect in ReceiptCam settings; permissions can also be revoked through Microsoft. Disconnecting does not delete files already exported. Local receipt features do not require OneDrive.
Warranty and return reminders
If you enable reminders, the app schedules local device notifications using the dates saved in the receipt. These reminders do not require an Arkeasi push-notification server. You can turn them off in the receipt settings or your device notification settings.
Analytics and advertising
ReceiptCam contains no third-party advertising or cross-app tracking SDK. Apple may provide store or crash diagnostics according to your device and App Store settings.
This website
This site does not use advertising analytics or cookies. It only stores your Finnish/English language choice in your browser so the next page opens in the same language.
Local storage and deletion
Saved receipts remain in the app until you delete them or clear its local data. You can check and correct recognised details before saving. Editing after saving depends on your app version. The app does not delete copies you exported to Photos, Files, email or a cloud service; manage those copies in the destination service. Android excludes the library from automatic backup and device transfer.
Your data protection rights
For personal data we hold, you can contact [email protected] to request access, correction, deletion, restriction or, where applicable, portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. Rights depend on the circumstances and legal obligations. You may complain to the Finnish Data Protection Ombudsman at https://tietosuoja.fi/en or your local data protection authority. We cannot retrieve your on-device receipt library remotely.
